ACCOUNTABILITY:
The HSES Engineer, APAC provides tactical expertise and leadership in the development and implementation of the corporation’s global security initiatives, programs, standards for all Lubrizol plants, labs, offices, and logistic operation within the AP Region.
Additionally, this role provides expertise in HSES Audit, Emergency Response Planning, Office Safety, Safety Culture Promotion, and HSES SharePoint management so that HSES capabilities are sustainable for the organization to deliver the desired results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Security Management:
Manage corporate security technology initiatives, function as the video management and access control systems Regional Administrator for the APAC, and global support as needed, including:
Video management system
Physical access control system
Coordinate and unify system implementation and support efforts between Regional IT and local administrators.
Manage implementation of physical security standards, supervise sites to establish security plans with security measures.
Facilitate security vulnerability assessments (SVA) for the AP region.
Support global security initiatives, including security audit completion.
Support physical site security design.
Manage travel safety and security in the AP region.
HSE Management:
Implement corporate safety related programs such as Engagement, Human Performance.
Lead and manage work safety activities such as contractor safety management as needed.
Lead and manage offices safety activities, function as subject matter of expert in office safety management and inspection.
Review plant lab Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health (IH/OH) programs to help to identify and evaluate potential IH/OH issues and provide the solutions.
Support global HSES audit program for the AP region.
Support sites in development of Emergency Response Planning (ERP) programs.
Promote safety culture through providing awareness training, coordinating HSES activities, providing recognition.
Develop and maintain the AP HSES SharePoint, and manage the regional HSES administration works.
REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:
Education & Professional Background:
Bachelor’s degree or above in HSE related major, preferably in Environment, Safety and Security
Minimum 5 years of related experience in Security, HSE management with solid plant experience in chemical industry
Certified Safety Engineer (CSE), ASIS International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification - preferred
Application, design, and integration of physical security systems - preferred
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge in ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and ISO45001, or similar HSE management system preferred
Strong team spirit

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluent in English writing and speaking
Good computer skills, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI
