RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Closely communicate and consult experts in Germany performance test lab for rig test planning, troubleshooting etc.
2. Strategic planning, responsibility, coordination and scientific supervision of mechanical-dynamic testing of lubricants and applied technology-related projects.
3. Creation of test reports and associated technical documentation regarding the test machines and test procedures in the area of responsibility, optimization of planning and coordination of required mechanical-dynamic tests.
4. Develop cost-effective and intelligent screening test procedures for development to optimize formulations based on inputs from other functions.
5. Technical improvement of test reporting and documentation (creation, revision, maintenance of tester manuals, test methods, including maintenance and calibration of testing machines).
6. Ensure laboratory safety and operational responsibility for test facilities in the research environment and for quality management
7. Hiring, training and assigning, evaluating laboratory technicians` tasks. Set day-to-day priorities for team members` work, as well as define target/conduct performance review on subordinates.
8. Planning and procurement of technical aids for the test procedure, such as test parts, measuring technology, evaluation software etc. to maintain a modern technical test standard.
9. Supervision and execution of field trials, international / domestic.
10. Support customer events, build cross-functions/business lines connection, participate industrial bodies to promote Evonik expertise on behave.
11. Creation, revision, maintenance of test device manuals, test methods, including maintenance and calibration of test machines.
12. Report on regular basis as defined by the Country Manager.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor degree and/or above, major in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Machinery.
2. At least 5 years’ experience in mechanical design of testing machine or machinery testing, with minimum 3 years` lab management experiences, lubricant/additives industry preferred.
3. Passionate and direct hands-on involvement in operating test machines/rigs.
4. Attention to details (performing test requires meticulous behavior/handling).
5. Demonstrate strong data analysis/interpretation knowledge or skills.
6. Capability on non-standard automated test equipment design and debugging experience. 7. Willing and can deal with the mechanical/hydraulic/electrical trouble-shooting of test machines.
8. Willingness to learn new test methods.
9. Willingness to work in a team environment with good communication skills.
10. Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
11. Good oral and written English and/or German.
12. ESHQ knowledge, & knowledge of lab management, measurement technology, tribology basics are beneficial.
