Position Overview
Supplier Management Specialist of Magna Asia responsible for supporting Divisional Quality and Purchasing personnel, and working with domestic and global suppliers, to ensure proper assessment, selection, development, and performance monitoring of the global supply chain. Will also work with divisions and Magna Corporate Supplier Quality and Development, to identify and implement common supplier management processes, where applicable, based on current best practices. In additions, this rule will support the implementation and maintenance of systems, tool and data management in region Asia following global guidance and processes.
Job Responsibility
-Use Magna Supplier Assessment systems & tools to assess suppliers
-Monitor completed assessments to ensure necessary follow up and corrective actions
-Support Magna Corporate Supplier Quality & Development, as required, in the implementation of QPF (Quality Platform) and ERFX system or other similar standardized supplier management systems
-Coordinate and manage common standards, processes and activities across Magna Group together with the Group representatives
-Coordinate and steer common SQA/SQD training across groups/divisions and be in alignment with Magna global SQM initiatives
-Coordinate supplier performance reporting across the Group to support consistency and accuracy of operational ratings in the Magna Supplier Spend Database
-Provide assistance, as required, to solve critical supplier quality and /or delivery issue
-Coordinate and assist / support Supplier Development activities on high risk, problematic and strategic suppliers, as required by Divisions
-Assist divisional purchasing department in conducting supplier assessments of critical, strategic, and new suppliers when needed
-Identify and work towards implementation of supplier management best practices, in conjunction with Magna Corporate Supplier Quality & Development
-Establish and maintain Group purchasing in support of IATF 16949 requirements
-Follow all Magna rules and procedures

-Reasonably judge, identify, and properly handle all the personal information involved in work, and to learn and master the relevant policies and procedures for Magna's data privacy and personal information
Qualifications
Knowledge and Education
-Bachelor's degree in Business or other related areas
-Systems know how is a good plus
Work Experience
-At least 6-8 years in automotive industry, in supplier quality and development areas
-Past experience in Systems/Tools/Data Management is preferred
Skills and Competencies
Job Role Competence
-Good understanding of procurement and supplier quality management business processes to identify and understand the needs of stakeholders and to translate them into actionable requirements
-Proficient in quality tools such as MSA, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, DOE etc.
-Comprehensive knowledge of Quality Control management standards and procedures including Total Quality Management, ISO/TS16949 etc.
-Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and functional stakeholders to gather requirements, explain technical concepts, and facilitate collaboration and implementation
-Good general understanding of data analytics and intelligence tools like Excel, Pivot, Power Bi or others to ensure proper business support but also effective communication with technical experts
-Strong analytical skills to analyze complex technical and business information to generate value out of data but also to identify and solve potential problems
-Given the fast-paced nature of the IT industry, candidate should be able to quickly adapt to changing requirements, technologies, and business priorities
-Excellence verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
-Strong organizational and project management skills
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize to support key objectives
