The Regional Manager Facility, Real Estate, and Environmental will provide support to manage PHINIA’s facilities. In this role, you will interact and support the plant teams responsible for ensuring an effective and efficient approach to all aspects of the facilities lifecycle. You will use broad knowledge of workplace strategy, project management, and facilities management to negotiate rental and owned properties, and support local offices, technical centers, and manufacturing facilities in handling environmental and legislative requirements that improve employee experience, drive savings, and increase project delivery speed and quality.
You will support with special projects and escalations within your region.
Key responsibilities
1. Provide support to facilities managers for offices, technical centers, and manufacturing facilities globally.
2. Support maintenance of Global facility list with attention to environmental concerns, audits, leasing terms, and competitive markets.
3. Support analysis and recommendations for capital expenditures involving building, equipment, and other facility related plans related to renovation, maintenance, safety and environmental.
4. Provide facility management direction in a timely, cost-effective manner.
5. Support achievement of department monthly budget and forecast including cost savings activities and energy management to achieve superior performance.
6. Document Control – Train and support all sites for document control related to safety and environmental, country, state, and federal requirements. This could include MSDS sheets, permits.
7. Significant interface with providers for activities including phone, electronic and personal communication as necessary to support Global sites.
8. Direct management of construction projects Globally with interaction of service providers.
9. Respond to building and equipment alarms and emergency situations, 24x7. Act as a conduit of support for all sites in building related emergency situations, power and service disruptions.
10. Provide direction for the upkeep of equipment, building systems and life safety equipment to meet health and safety standards.
11. Support region to review and monitor utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs. This includes bringing solutions and ideas to drive continuous improvement.
12. Manage providers to review activities like parking space allocation, waste dis**al and recycling.
13. Support HR initiatives related to facilities.
14. Support and coordinate Regional event planning activities related to all employee meetings, customer events, investor day and tours of government officials.
15. Conducts space planning activities according to business unit requirements.
16. Lease and property negotiation support for all facilities Regionally.
What we’re looking for
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or related field
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing, or facilities management
Previous supervisory experience required
Key job skills
1. Experience in facilities management, safety, and environmental regulations is preferred. The **ition requires frequent travel and interaction with facilities managers.
2. Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, in addition to strong project management skills.
3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to interact with all Regional sites.
4. Proven knowledge of facility management as well as technical knowledge and skills related to plumbing, electrical and HVAC and/or coordination of these activities of technical suppliers.
