Responsibilities
• Gather insights about market trends, customers, competitors, and investigate what that means for the product.
• Meet customers to understand, which problems they face, and the jobs they want the product to solve for them. Identifying not only products/ product features, but focusing on pro**itions and benefits.
• Gather information from other departments and sharing them across the business: insights sharing, other than facts stuck in individuals’ heads.
• Owner of the Product Roadmap: link between short-term focus of Sales and long-term ambitions to support the company sustainable business growth.
• Evangelizing: use of same language/ naming. Reduces confusion and helps collaboration.
• Share of best practice, lessons learned, war stories… develop and establish a standard set of tools. Give feedback in order to constantly improve the tools.
• Keep improving the product competitiveness in terms of cost and technologies
• Product Manager: Central contact for all product relevant topics: drive and get problems sorted, but not necessarily doing it by yourself every details. Focus on managing the product, rather than being involved in the day-to-day activities needed to deliver. Product life cycle management to maximize/boost the product sales turnover and payback.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor in mechanical/Electrical and Electronics/optical Engineering, equivalent or higher
• Experience as Product Manager and/or Business Developer
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Experience as customer interface on technical level
• Rich experience in Automotive Industry
• Experience in top local interior/small lighting companies
• Good link and relations with customers, especially local OEM’s interior teams
