POSITION OVERVIEW
Ensure reliability of products through examination and analysis, as well as providing competent technical consultation to the program and CQE teams on all facets of validation. Ensure GSET laboratory follows global laboratory manual if applicable.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Provide leadership and coordination of resources for SOP projects, execution of tests and calibrations, and reporting for the lab.
• Implement and be an advocate for lab policies per the lab manual.
• Review and approve test requests and test plans and assist CQE teams as needed.
• Review and approve test and quality reports timely and accurately.
• Manage lab daily operations, coordinating personnel and resources.
• Supervise maintenance of test, quality and calibration procedures.
• Manage quality, corrective, and preventative action activities.
• Support, promote, and implement global lab quality system policies and procedures.
• Conform to industry guidelines and customer requirements in terms of laboratory accreditation requirements.
• Support/lead root cause analysis following the corrective action process for all witnessed anomalies and collaborate with the CQE team to achieve resolution.
• Plan, ideate and establish new test methodologies, procedures, and equipment, where warranted, to support testing activities.
• Provide input on continuous improvement of laboratory operations.
• Lead maintenance of testing and test development records.
• Assist with gaining and maintaining lab recognition by OEM customers as needed.
• Provide input for lab resource, capital planning, and lab personnel hiring.
• Supervise, train, and develop lab personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING
• Certain knowledge in Electromagnetism, RF principles, RADAR, Electrical transients, Thermodynamics, Plastics and Materials, or similar technologies is required.
• Minimum 2-year technical degree or at least 8 years of relevant experience in automotive industry.
• Leadership experience.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and Adobe).
WHAT WILL HELP
• Experience ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
